Wedding Advisory

The biggest concern you'll have is finding the right look to compliment your gorgeous gown on your wedding day . After all, picking the perfect wedding hairstyle to wear on your big day takes careful planning and lots of thought. When deciding on the right style you might want to thumb through bridal magazines, tab pictures of hairstyles that catch your eye and discuss the look with your stylist.

When choosing a style:

Consider the time of year when deciding on a wedding hairstyle. If you are having an outdoor wedding/reception, think about how your hair handles up against heat and humidity. Do you have a backup style in mind that will stand up against wind and rain? Are pictures going to be taken outside in the heat, humidity or wind?

Make sure your stylist knows the answers to these questions when designing your hair.

Remember, the best hair style for you is one that reflects your personality.

Make sure to schedule your trial run with your hair styling professional no less than 6-8 weeks before the wedding date.

Whether you want a very detailed wedding hairstyle, the perfect mess, or a more sophisticated, elegant or simple look, the hair style you wear on your wedding day should be polished to perfection with comfort, longevity, style, personality and balance in mind. And, remember, with the wedding only weeks away, your hair style should be the last thing you need to worry your head over! Relax, enjoy and let your hair styling professional do the rest!

Personal Favorite:

Loreal Elnett satin hairspray! That stuff will hold anything. It’s a strong spray that allows direct and controlled results with a brilliant shine and a soft touch. Its unique micro-diffuser sprays ultra-fine and disappears at the stroke of a brush, leaving hair feeling clean, soft and shiny.

Posted on April 30, 2012 at 7:20 PM Comments comments (16608)

A. With hair extensions you can do any of the following :

  • Extend your length.
  • Shorten your length.
  • Add body and fullness.
  • Reduce body and fullness.
  • Add color, including highlights and lowlights.
  • Change your hair pattern (e.g. from straight hair to curly hair).
  • Create a temporary style for a special event.
  • Protect your own hair

B. Hair extensions can last for 1 day or up to 3 months.

  • The length of time an install (an install is the attachment of the hair extension to your own hair) lasts is dependent upon several factors.
  • The type of extension you choose.
  • The quality of the installation.
  • The rate of your hair growth.
  • The manageability of your hair.
  • The care given to your own hair as well as the extensions.
  • Your comfort level.

C. All extensions consist of two components:

  • Hair; and
  • Attachment.

Hair can be either (1) synthetic or (2) human. Synthetic hair is hair made of synthetic fibers. The two primary synthetic fibers used in hair extensions are Kanekalon and Toyokalon. Human hair is hair derived from humans.
